Multi-Factor Authentication powered IdM/IAM with SecSign ID

Your users and passwords and services are all over the place? You want to simplify your security and authentication setup but you don’t know where to start? Move beyond your authentication patchwork and security mashup to a one of a kind full stack identity and access management solution that focuses on security AND usability.

The following article gives an overview on securing and simplifying user data management in one setup. This includes data like name, address, email, passwords, 2FA token, access rights, groups and more. Generally, these data are secured in user management directories like active directory, different internal directories like Atlassian, Typo3 plus additional data in clouds.

What are the advantages of an IdM/IAM Solution?

Nobody likes patchwork solutions, but finding everything you need in one single setup can be almost impossible. In order to simplify your security setup, the first step is to find out what you really need, what you have right now and how you can streamline the login and security process without risking your data.

What do you need?

  • Security
  • User friendliness
  • Empower your users
  • Centralized user management

Now, how do you find all of that?

With the SecSign ID 2FA solution you have a provider that has been working with business and company security for over 20 years. Our security setup is solid, and with the SSO and IdM solutions it is convenient as well.

Some options we offer:
  • Your choice of data management: on-premise, in the cloud or managed cloud
  • Your choice of how you want to connect your services: ready-to-use plugins for quick integration or standardized interfaces like oAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, REST, Java and many more
  • Your choice of complexity: default 2FA app, custom app, signature solutions, integration in existing apps, plugins for all access points
  • Your choice of integration: centralized user directory with the 2FA server or supporting your existing setup with secure authentication
  • Secure logins for Cloud Solutions with extensive options for SAML integration
  • The only 2FA solution for Crowd, offering a simple and secure SSO for all Atlassian products
  • Convenient and token-less 2FA that doesn’t rely on a phone number: for improved security and usability
  • SSO for even more convenience

But how does that fit in with your setup?

How much do you need to rearrange your setup to move it all to one solution? Does the cost and effect equation work out in your favor for introducing a comprehensive IdM?

With SecSign you don’t need to worry about introducing a whole new setup if you don’t want to. You can simply synch your AD with or without schema extension, use any other user management system you have, including Crowd, connect or completely transfer your user data both on-premise or the managed cloud. Your setup doesn’t fit in? Contact us for customized solutions .

With SecSign you have several options for managing your users and security, from using the all-inklusive IdM solution to manually managing your users or using the no-data option in the cloud.

Option 1: Comprehensive IdM Solution

Combine Authentication and user management with the SecSign ID server. Simplify your setup, and limit points of attack by joining forces of user management and authentication management on one server.
The SecSign ID server offers intuitive user management, access management, authentication management all with a simple and sleek user interface.
You decide which data your SecSign IdM includes and manages.

Option 2: No-data solution in the cloud

The authentication server does not receive, store or manage any confidential data like user passwords, user information or similar. Users are authenticated either with a 2FA based off the cloud SecSign server, or a two-step authentication after a successful user credential login. No user credentials are transmitted during this process.

Option 3: Linking your user management system

Connect your external user directory to the on-premise server or integrate it with your cloud setup
This is possible for example by using a schema extension for your Active directory. User access data are verified against your external user management system, the cloud server doesn’t have access to or store any confidential data.
